Mícheál Ó'Muirthile is a national prize-winning artist whose forte includes equine art, landscape and portraiture paintings & drawings. He is greatly influenced by his local place and by the immense pool of inspirational detail that is available throughout the island of Ireland.

He currently lives in the beautiful Lee valley and his people hailed from south of Dunmanway nearby to Ballinacarriga Castle, the seat of the Ó’Muirthile clan in West Cork.
