'Old Road in the Black Valley' is an oil on canvas paper/board that the Artist started in May 2016 whilst on a break in the Black Valley. The scene is from the far off end of the Black Valley on one's journey over the hills to the Bridia Valley. The quietness here and the sound of the bird-song, including the cuckoo, is wonderful. As one walks along this old road, you have for company the wonderful panoramic vistas of nature, the sound of the streams and the sheep on the hills surrounding this beautiful unspoilt valley.
