11.8x13.8 in ~ Painting, Oil
I've been visiting Northern Ireland for more than 30 years now and still marvel at the landscape there especially along the Antrim coast near Waterfoot. I've sought out the old 'clachan' villages on the hillsides around there and beyond up by Torr Head. This painting brings back memories of such visits and the hard lives that our ancestors had to endure to survive in such turbulent times. However, this painting depicts a cottage near Ballyliffin in Donegal which can be seen from the window of the 'Orange Hall' in the Famine village there. The price quoted is for the framed painting. The painting is currently framed in a vintage ochre-coloured frame. A set of limited edition prints, signed and stamped by the artist, is available; email Mícheál for full details.
